Bio

About my career

I am an Assistant Professor at Augustana College in the Communication Sciences and Disorders department and a doctoral candidate in the Linguistics Department at the University of Oregon. My research interests are in the area of child speech and language. I am particularly interested in speech intelligibility, multilingualism, and language sample analysis measures. I am a licensed speech/language pathologist with a background in the public schools as well as in the hospital setting.

About me

I love the outdoors! I enjoy hiking and camping with my partner on the weekends. Beyond exploring the Midwest, I enjoy the opportunity to travel outside the state and country. I am lucky to have had opportunities to experience different cultures and let them influence my life back home through cooking. I enjoy using fresh produce from the local farmer's markets to recreate authentic tastes and experiment with new flavors.
